Perhaps more relevant today than when it was originally written, No Liberation Here is one of the first songs to ever confront the brutal reality of gay bashing and bullying, with lyrics that nakedly and painfully hurl the abuse, shame, and societal rejection those who don’t conform to societies’ rigid sexual norms experience.
